OSTEOPHONIE, PEDAGOGY OF LISTENING

Explore osteophonie with Françoise Lombard and discover how this approach is a revolution in listening, singing and speaking.

TO ENHANCE YOUR LISTENING SKILLS

The pedagogy of listening – osteophonie – is a learning of listening based on the awareness of the voice’s bodily vibration.

This proprioceptive approach is practiced in a group.

It consists of a series of progressive exercises using the sounds of language.

“Listening stimulates listening!” Experience the concrete effects of osteophony and then teach it to your students.

The two areas of osteophonic application are musical language and verbal language.

In-person workshops with a maximum of 12 participants.

Musical language

Pedagogical tools for intonation, memory, concentration, expression and confidence in the musical ear. For voice or instrument teachers, music training teachers, specialized music teachers (elementary school), choral conductors.

Verbal language (in French only)

… for me there are few things more powerful than bodies resonating together in harmony, in time, while moving through space. There were moments when I felt I was experiencing life itself. The sensation of my own body moved me. I felt a pleasure at my own possibilities. I was aligned, relaxed, aware, powerful …

The sound was all-enveloping. I enjoyed the class, but I was also deeply touched by it.

Professeur John Habron-James, Head of Music, Health and Wellbeing Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester (UK)

Everything is resonance. We can only hear and feel in others what we hear and feel in ourselves.

Françoise Lombard, musician and pedagogue

Listening is the basis of all learning. We learn through bonding.
